Also impressive is the Islanders three hot prospects being invited to Team Canada's Natiional Jr. Team. Adam Pelech, playing for the Erie Otters, didn't seem like a likely candidate with only two goals and 52 PIMs, but he does have 20 points with 18 assists.

Standing at 6'4", Griffin Reinhart is making a name for himself with the Edmonton Oil Kings with 36 points in 58 games which included 5 power play goals. He's pretty good on Twitter as well.

Ryan Strome, playing for the Ice Dogs, has a whopping 68 points in 46 games with NINE power play goals. WOW! Nice going Ryan!

december 4th should not make any difference when someone is trying to decide if they believe an nhl season will/not be played.

It's beyond bleak at this point. Honestly it's a total jerk job anyway if it's shortened. I know we all want to see hockey but at this point a season starting next month will be half assed.

Im not sure it would be half assed..........i'd rather half a season then no season. Either way its pathetic that the team is still sending me the invoices for season tickets. Who's in charge of PR? Thats an absolute joke!

Figure of speech.........either way, id be down for a 20 game season. I just wanna see hockey.
We're in December and no deal has been made. The Winter cup is cancelled. The all star weekend is around the midpoint of the season. Is it that crazy to think they will only be able to play half the amount of games in a season? They need at least 2 weeks to prep for a season so you're now talkin about starting mid to late december (if a deal was made in the next few days).

If someone is blogging and they consistantly use wrong information or stats from last year in this case, why should that go unoticed? You don't feel they owe it to their readers to at least check facts?

I'm all for respecting bloggers and Dee is included, but I understand the POV from the posters that always have to read inaccurate info about their team.

It is consistent enough where it is impossible not to comment on.

She needs to write one blog without misinformation in it and one of the sheep will stick up for her and peace will be restored to the Islanders blog once again.

Like I said we all want to see hockey but the 95' season and the Devils winning the cup that year will always be considered half assed.

I understand, but ripping into her every day is not doing any good, is it....???

It is, what it is.

And, tomorrow she may write about the (frank)in dog...again. But, shes not getting traded and it is a good group in here that chat most of the time, so.....Get over it.

At least the Isles have a place here and someone that loves the team so much, that no matter the topic, she writes the blog anyway.. Tip my cap to her. I would have told you winners to go (frank) yourself long ago.. Cheers.

No offence intended, just an example that others have used as well..

Just get so tired of all the negative things that people harp on.

This stike is makin a lot of people take a long look at the NHL, owners and players alike. I am loving Jr. hockey, this year Halifax is number one in the country. I hope they cancel the season. SO they all lose money.. Teach them the fans are the ones that they should cater to, not the players..

Sorry,,,,, speech over, having one of those days at work.
